A Igreja reconhece que somente Deus é capaz de honrar Maria como ela merece. Como mãe do Filho de Deus, foi a mulher que mais intimamente esteve ligada ao mistério do Deus revelado em Jesus. Aqueles que encontram nela uma maternidade espiritual se aproximam dela no reconhecimento de sua humanidade e de sua historicidade. Inseparável do seu Filho, Maria vai se descobrindo naquele que a chamou, entregando-se à vontade misteriosa e exigente, mas misericordiosa de seu Deus. Progride em seu caminho de fé, alarga o seu coração e acolhe, em uma maternidade espiritual, a Igreja nascente. Ela é a pedagoga dos cristãos na festa da Nova Aliança.
Resumo Inglês:
The Church recognizes that only God is able to honor Mary as she deserves. As the mother of the Son of God, she was the woman that most intimately was connected with the mystery of the God revealed in Jesus. Those who find in her a spiritual maternity, approach her in the recognition of her humanity and her historicity. Inseparable from her Son, Mary keep discovering herself in the One who called her, surrendering to the mysterious and demanding but merciful will of her God. She advances in her path of faith, extends her heart and welcomes, in a spiritual maternity, the newborn Church. She is the pedagogue of Christians in the New Covenant celebration.
