O artigo busca analisar alguns dos principais parâmetros e diretrizes estabelecidos pela Corte Interamericana de Direitos Humanos na sentença do Caso Bulacio vs. Argentina, que trata das agressões e morte do adolescente Walter David Bulacio, após ter sido preso e lesionado pela polícia em um órgão policial na Argentina. A ideia é que o estudo do caso auxilie na compreensão da proteção legal aos direitos à vida e integridade pessoal de adolescentes nos países que compõem o sistema interamericano de direitos humanos, notadamente o Brasil.

The paper seeks to analyze some of the main parameters and guidelines established by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the judgment of the Case Bulacio v. Argentina, regarding the injuries and death of Walter David Bulacio, after being arrested and beaten in a policy station in Argentina. The purpose of the paper is to study how this judgment may help the understanding of the legal protection of the rights to life and to humane treatment of court-involved youth in the countries that are part of the Interamerican human rights system, notably Brazil.
