Este artigo tem a finalidade de discutir a nova modalidade de intervenção de terceiros na ação de alimentos, prevista no artigo 1698 do Código Civil. Objetiva identificar qual a natureza deste instituto interventivo, mediante sua comparação com as espécies de intervenção de terceiros já existentes no Código de Processo Civil.
This paper has the goal to discuss the new modality of intervention of third in the action for payment of support, foreseen in article 1698 of the Civil Code. Objectives to identify the nature of this institute, by means of its comparison with the species of intervention of third already existing in the Code of Civil Action.
