Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a participação feminina nos cursos de bacharelado e licenciatura em química da universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), evidenciando o quantitativo de ingressantes e de concluintes entre os anos de 2014 a2022. A Pesquisa foi realizada por meio de dados obtidos junto ao Instituto de Química (INQUI) da UFMS, os quais foram organizados em forma de quadros e gráficos, de acordo com o gênero discente. Os resultados indicam que: a) no curso de bacharelado entrou exatamente a mesma quantidade de homens e de mulheres (132 de cada), totalizando 264 pessoas; b) no curso de licenciatura o quantitativo de ingressantes foi bem maior, por totalizar 525 discentes, entre os quais 243 ou 46,29% eram mulheres e 282 ou 53,71% eram homens; c) já entre as pessoas que concluíram os cursos, nos dois casos predominou o gênero feminino, pois no bacharelado, entre o total de 84 pessoas concluintes, 61,9% eram mulheres e 38,1% eram homens, enquanto que na licenciatura, entre o total de 76 pessoas concluintes, 55,26% eram mulheres e 44,74 % eram homens. Os dados são considerados positivos, por sinalizar que tem aumentado a participação feminina na área de química.
This research aimed to analyze female participation in bachelor's and degree courses in chemistry at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), highlighting the number of entrants and graduates between the years 2014 to 2022. The research was carried out using data obtained from the Instituto de Química (INQUI) at UFMS, which were organized in the form of tables and graphs, according to student gender. The results indicate that: a) exactly the same number of men and women entered the bachelor's degree course (132 of each), totaling 264 people; b) in the undergraduate course, the number of entrants was much higher, totaling 525 students, among which 243 or 46.29% were women and 282 or 53.71% were men; c) among the people who completed the courses,in both cases the female gender predominated, as in the bachelor's degree, among the total of 84 people completing the courses, 61.9% were women and 38.1% were men, while in the bachelor's degree, Among the total of 76 people who graduated, 55.26% were women and 44.74% were men. The data is considered positive, as it indicates that female participation in the area of chemistry has increased.
