Uma simples pesquisa em buscadores como o Google nos mostra o significativo número de ocorrências do substantivo inovação, especialmente relacionado ao âmbito científico. Considerando esse fato, este texto tem como objetivo iniciar e incitar um questionamento sobre o lugar da Linguística e, consequentemente, das Ciências Humanas e Sociais, dentro do atual discurso de produção e inovação científica. A reflexão sobre o tema, não exaustivo ou presunçoso, tem como base preponderante os estudos sobre linguagem e moral, da Paveau (2015)

The intervention had positive results as the final evaluation revealed: the participants highlighted the benefits of the project, in particular, the levels of physical and psychological well-being, the augment of the quality of their relationships with others and the occurrence of new apprenticeships. This project reiterated the importance of social and cultural activities regarding the elderly’s learning processes, welfare and quality of life. A simple search in search engines like Google shows us the significant number of occurrences of the noun innovation, especially related to the scientific scope. Considering this fact, this text aims to initiate and incite a questioning about the place of Linguistics and, consequently, of the Human and Social Sciences, within the current discourse of scientific production and innovation. The reflection on the subject, not exhaustive or presumptuous, has as its preponderant base the studies on language and moral (PAVEAU, 2015).
