Translation, with the consolidation of its theoretical studies has occupied a different status in the academic circle in the last years. Translation is no longer generalised as an easy task to be performed by anyone who has the command of a foreign language. The process of rendering one text into another demands much more from the translator. Firstly the command of the target language is paramount, the translator should know and understand how it works. Other aspects such as a good cultural background, creativity, common sense are also required.
