A ideia de responsabilidade está presente em diversas esferas da sociedade e campos do conhecimento. As variadas formas de olhar para essa ideia trazem consigo conceitos mais ou menos definidos, desde responsabilidades individualizadas até responsabilidades coletivizadas, históricas, genéricas. A concepção individual-jurídica talvez seja aquela mais bem difundida historicamente, com um conceito semelhante ao de atribuição individual ou imputação. Responsável seria aquele que assume pessoalmente uma conduta. Ocorre que as primeiras acepções do termo apontam para outros lugares, restando a questão sobre a forma como o conceito de responsabilidade se individualizou. Para responder à essa pergunta buscaremos os significados históricos do conceito. Posteriormente, analisaremos as recentes tentativas de coletivização da responsabilidade, situando esse conceito em uma polissemia. Por fim, será possível pôr em perspectiva os contornos desta ideia, seus limites e possibilidades.
The idea of responsibility is present in various spheres of society and fields of study. The various ways of looking at this idea bring with them more or less defined concepts, from individualized responsibilities to collectivized, historical, generic responsibilities. The individual-legal conception is perhaps the most well-known historically, with a concept similar to that of individual attribution or imputation. Responsible is the one who personally undertakes conduct. However, the first meanings of the term point to other places, leaving the question as to how the concept of responsibility has been individualized. As to answer this question we will seek the historical meanings of the concept. Subsequently, we will analyze the recent attempts to collectivize responsibility, placing this concept in a polysemy. Finally, it will be possible to put into perspective the contours of this idea, its limits and possibilities.
