As reflexões apresentadas nesse texto tecem algumas notas acerca das modalidades de benefício eventual, provisão essa reconhecida na Lei Orgânica de Assistência Social (LOAS), em seu Art. 22, como auxílio-natalidade e funeral; situações de calamidade pública e vulnerabilidade temporária. A partir de uma análise teórica, bibliográfica, documental e legal, busca-se destacar alguns pontos e elementos que permitam pensar e analisar qual o papel de cada uma dessas modalidades de atenção no âmbito da política de assistência social e enquanto parte do campo de proteção social não contributivo erigido pelo Sistema Único da Assistência Social (SUAS).
The reflections presented in this text provide some notes on the modalities of eventual benefits, a provision recognized in the Organic Law of Social Assistance (LOAS), in its Art. 22, as birth-grantand funeral; situations of public calamity and temporary vulnerability. Based on a theoretical, bibliographic, documentar and legal analysis, it is soughttohighlight some points and elements that allow to think about and analyze the role of each of these modes of care within the scope of social assistance policy and as part of the protection field non-contributory social system established by the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS)
