Este artigo apresenta-se como um estudo de caso que se propõe a utilizar os alicerces teóricos da pedagogia crítica, da educação profissional tecnológica e do contexto regional, a fim de compreender o processo de formação dos trabalhadores para a indústria de embalagens na área de flexografia em Caçador-SC. Metodologicamente observou-se desde as possibilidades da modalidade de curso do tipo Formação Inicial e Continuada (FIC) à importância da busca ativa junto às empresas. A posição pessoal dos gestores tem forte influência sobre a empregabilidade destes trabalhadores, e estes têm consciência das problemáticas envolvidas no seu contexto profissional e social, porém, poucos conseguem atuar para a modificação desta situação. Desta forma, uma equipe docente multidisciplinar e uma concepção pedagógica politécnica para formação integral foram decisivos neste cenário. Os discentes têm alta expectativa sobre o aprendizado prático, mas ainda existem dificuldades estruturais para a adequação do ensino neste sentido.
This article is a case study which proposes to use the theoretical foundations of critical pedagogy, the professional technological education and the regional context, in order to understand the process of education of workers for thepackaging industry, specifically in flexography printing process, in Caçador-SC. Methodologically was observed since the possibilities of Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) to the importance of the active search with the companies. The personal position of managers has a strong influence on the employability of these workers and they are aware of the problems involved their own professional and social context, but few of them feel able to change this situation. In this way, a multidisciplinary teachingteam and a polytechnic pedagogical conception for integral education were decisive to try to change the situation. The students have high expectations about practical learning, but there are still structural difficulties for attend them.
