O meio ambiente como objeto de proteção iniciou-se com o Direito Ambiental. Este, por sua vez, emana da conscientização acerca das agressões em face do ambiente natural, originário de toda a vida na Terra, o qual, desta forma, resta ameaçado. Desta feita, surgem os princípios diretores do Direito Ambiental, os quais, indiretamente, têm em vista a proteção da saúde e da dignidade humana, ambos assegurados pela Constituição Federal bem como pelos mais diversos tratados e convenções internacionais.
Resumo Inglês:
The environment as an object of protection began with the Environmental Law. This, in turn, stems from the awareness of aggression in the face of the natural environment, origin of all life on Earth, which thus remains threatened. This time, there are guiding principles of environmental law, which indirectly aim at protecting the health and human dignity, both secured by the Constitution and by various international treaties and conventions.
