Embora Freud destaque o trabalho como uma importante fonte de satisfação libidinal, ainda hoje muitos psicanalistas ignoram a
relevância do estudo deste tema. Neste artigo, pretendemos abordar as questões relativas ao trabalho e ao desejo a partir dos quatros
discursos propostos por Jacques Lacan e também de vários autores das ciências sociais.
Although Sigmund Freud himself had already emphasized the importance of labour as a source of satisfaction to the libido, many
analysts still ignore the relevance of studying this particular theme. In this article, we intend to explore the questions on work and
labour, discussing Jacques Lacan’ s theory of the four discourses and reviewing the contributions of some authors in social sciences.
