A Educação Patrimonial é uma abordagem metodológica que prima trabalhar com o passado para a compreensão do presente, visando prospectar o futuro. Este estudo objetiva analisar a promoção da formação continuada dos docentes em exercício no Geoparque QuartaColônia, através das cinco edições das Jornadas Interdisciplinares de Formação de Professores em Educação Patrimonial. Destaca-se que as Jornadas foram promovidas pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria e Universidade Franciscana, ambas situadas no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A presente pesquisa é de abordagem qualitativa e documental, adotando como técnica para análise dos dados, a Análise de Conteúdo de Bardin (2011). Elegeram-se três categorias de análise denominadas i) dados de identificação;ii) programação; iii) instituições envolvidas. Para tal, foram levantadas e analisadas a programação, temáticas e iniciativas das cinco edições das Jornadas, ofertadas a docentes, no período de 2020 a 2023. Observou-se que as Jornadas, por meio de suas programações, oportunizaram aos docentes conhecimentos acerca do Patrimônio Cultural e Natural do território do GQC sendo que, inicialmente, direcionando às questões históricas, sociais e geológicas (sociodiversidade e geodiversidade) e, no transcorrer das edições, contemplando aspectos da biodiversidade.

Heritage Education is a methodological approach that focuses on working with the past to understand the present, aiming to prospect the future. This study aims to analyze the promotion of continued training for teachers in practice at Geoparque Quarta Colônia, through the five editions of the Interdisciplinary Conferences for Teacher Training in Heritage Education. It is noteworthy that the Journeys were promoted by the Federal University of Santa Maria and the Franciscana University, both located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This research has aqualitative and documentary approach, adopting Bardin's Content Analysis (2011) as a technique for data analysis. Three categories of analysis were chosen: i) identification data; ii) programming; iii) institutions involved. To this end, the programming, themes and initiatives of the five editions of the Days, offered to teachers, from 2020 to 2023 were surveyed and analyzed. It was observed that the Days, through their programming, provided teachers with knowledge about Heritage Cultural and Natural of the GQC territory, initially focusing on historical, social and geological issues (sociodiversity and geodiversity) and, over the course of the editions, covering aspects of biodiversity.
